This intricate scientific study of the critically endangered Javan Rhino is both educational and artistic, offering a glimpse into the anatomy of one of nature’s rarest creatures. Featuring detailed depictions of the rhino’s brain, skull, and profile, each element is labelled with precision to emphasize the complexity and uniqueness of this majestic species. The black background and white illustrations create a striking contrast, drawing attention to the fine details of the artwork.

More about the product

I completed this piece back in 2021. It is the first piece i’ve ever tried at this scale, and this detailed. The medium used is rather amusing, the paper used is actually wall paper – i find the texture great for creating detail and differences between light and dark, followed by an outline of black acrylic paint to make it stand out. I submitted it for the Nancy Rothwell Art Award, an international competition for young artists inspired by nature, and won my age category. The piece was shown in a museum in January of 2022, and was returned thereafter. It is not available for sale, however I wish to share with you the piece that started this journey, as well as to show you my skill.
